Half of Malaysia’s population received at least one Covid-19 jab

Malaysia vaccinated at least the first dose to 16.35 million people or 50.1 % of the total population, including 9.51 million or 29.1% who received the second dose. Malaysia’s daily vaccination rate has continuously increased to 497,352 doses yesterday (Aug 11). 

Meanwhile, the daily number of new Covid-19 cases increased to 20,780 yesterday. The total number of cases was 1.32 million so far. Among infection cases, a total of 3,396 or 1 percent of pregnant women were reported between March 2020 and June 2021. In other words, approximately 200 pregnant women per month were infected with Covid-19. To read more, click here.
