The health financing strategy cabinet paper, as well as the cabinet paper proposing the creation of a Single National Health Insurance (SNHI) have entered the last stages of review within the Cabinet. The papers are undergoing further scrutiny by the Inter-ministerial Technical Committee before cabinet can endorse or reject them. The aim is still to submit the Bill for the SNHI to Parliament before the end of 2017.
