The Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund and Kazakhstan’s Social Health Insurance Fund signed a cooperation memorandum on compulsory medical insurance during the International Conference on Accreditation and Quality of Medical Care, marking World Patient Safety Day.
This took place within the framework of the International Conference on Accreditation and Quality of Health Care, dedicated to World Patient Safety Day.
The document was signed by the head of the Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund, Ilya Balanin, and his Kazakh colleague, the chairman of the board of the Social Health Insurance Fund, Abylkair Skakov, ria.ru reports .
According to Balanin, the MHIF has been working with partners from Kazakhstan for a long time. The fund has many productive approaches and solutions to managing and financing the MHI system. However, the exchange of experience will expand existing knowledge and will contribute to the mutual development of both parties, he said.
The heads of the organizations came to an agreement that provides for the necessary exchange of experience in the field of compulsory medical insurance, best practices in the legislative sphere, as well as the organization and joint participation in thematic events.
Balanin also made a presentation at the conference. Among other things, he noted that the use of compulsory medical insurance funds in the implementation of priority state programs and projects is aimed at forming a healthy lifestyle for Russians, increasing the life expectancy of the population, increasing the birth rate and raising a healthy generation.
