Since this morning in Bobo Dioulasso, the NGO DIAKONIA has been bringing together the stakeholders involved in implementing the UHIP program. The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for all players involved in the implementation of AMU (Universal Health Insurance), to facilitate synergy and coordination of actions between stakeholders, to share good approaches, challenges and perspectives in the implementation of AMU policy, and to justify corrective actions to dysfunctions recorded in the implementation of AMU.
Participants included representatives of partner organizations in the program to strengthen citizen commitment and government accountability in the implementation of the Universal Health Insurance (UHI) policy in Burkina Faso, as well as the stakeholders involved.
Burkina Faso is committed to providing universal health coverage. It is in its role to support the government through its interventions, particularly in universal healthcare, that DIAKONIA and its partners ASES, ASMADE, SOSJD and RAME have been implementing since January 2020, the ” Program to strengthen citizen commitment and government accountability in the implementation of universal health insurance policy in Burkina Faso “to contribute to a fair and sustainable implementation of this policy.
