The Ministry of Health of Mongolia signed a memorandum of cooperation with “Mobicom Corporation” (the largest mobile phone operator in Mongolia) to promote cooperation in the health sector. Specifically, the Ministry of Health hopes to seek help in implementation of digital transition, budget and financing reforms.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Health D. Ochirbat and CEO of “Mobicom Corporation” Ltd. Koji Kurushima signed the memorandum of cooperation. The parties confirmed their commitment to process re-engineering in the framework of improving the quality and availability of services in the health sector and agreed to work together in strengthening effective governance. The parties acknowledged there was an opportunity for both parties to cooperate in the implementation of digital transition, budget and financing reforms. Also, within the framework of the memorandum, “Mobicom Corporation” decided to provide its services at a discounted rate to health sector workers.
