 Participants included the VP, representatives from various ministries (MoH, MoF, MoJ,…), the Parliamentary Committee on Health, Central Hospitals, Christian Health Association of Malawi, District Health Officers, CSOs, as well as development partners (WHO/WR, World Bank, ILO, GIZ, USAID, Abt. Assoc., UNICEF, UNAIDS, CHAI, MSF, Oxfam, etc.)

The event served as a kick-off event and launch of the activities planned under the P4H joint support plan with the following objectives:

  • To foster a common understanding of health reform areas and to inform stakeholders about the expected results of the proposed analytical work on health financing in the context of UHC;
  • To generate broader interest and support for the planned work by facilitating multi-sectoral and high level policy dialogue;
  • To launch an open support process for the UHC agenda, which includes a platform and space for stakeholder involvement, collaboration and networking.
