The health system measures put into place in Albania to contain the spread of COVID-19 are:
Doctors and nurses working in the frontline will receive an additional payment of BGN 1000 a month (EUR 510) (announced on 15 March). The additional remuneration of medical and non-medical staff involved in the treatment of COVID 19 patients is estimated to BGN 60 million (EUR 30.6 million).
