Increased budget for health in 2025 – Kitts and Nevis

The 2025 budget for health in Nevis shows continued commitment to health and wellbeing by the government. There are ambitious plans for 2025, and the budget allocation is higher than in 2024.

On December 5, 2024, the honourable Jahnel Nisbett, Minister of Health, Gender Affairs and Social Empowerment in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) participated in budget discussions at the Nevis Island Assembly.  There have been substantial achievements in 2023, complimented by ambitious plans for 2025. Health represents over 80% of the total allotment to the ministry and is a higher allocation than in 2024.

At $48.7 million [USD 18 million], representing 18 percent of the total budget, this significant allocation reflects our government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the well-being of our citizens and advancing the social development of Nevis,” Senator Nisbett highlighted.
