a. Regional follow-up meeting
- Knowledge exchange and experience sharing between Mongolia, Vietnam & Philippines
- Envisaged date: Nov/Dec, around the revision of the Citizen Health Insurance Law
- Organisational support could be provided through WHO-WPRO
- Exploration of potential funding from P4H network
b. Research for UHC & Capacity Development
- Research on sustainably expanding coverage to the informal sector (utilization survey, benefit incidence analysis)
- Research on SIGOs role as a single-payor
- Capacity development measures in the area of actuarial analysis (potential costing study financed e.g. through P4H network members)
- Deployment of a senior expert at SIGO to support organisational development
c. Analysis of the Mongolian social protection system
- Potential action on determining the efficiency, equity and redistributive effects of certain pillars of the Mongolian social protection systems
- Potential “cost-benefit-analysis” determining the comparative effectiveness of social policy objectives (e.g. child grants compared to (tax-funded) social health insurance)
d. Linking with other bi-lateral donor activities
- E-health programme financed by China ( around 300 million USD)
- Linkage to RSBY smart card (facilitated through GIZ)
