The US Center for Disease Control, Antwerp Institute of Tropical Medicine and P4H joined financial resource for the National Institute of Public Health to facilitate a workshop on Equity and UHC. The workshop aimed at raising general awareness on equity amongst researchers and other persons working on health financing for UHC. This happened during the first two days by clarifying theoretical aspects of equity by WHO and P4H representatives. This was followed by three days practical work on statistical methods for data analysis on equity, facilitated by statisticians of the Thai International Health Policy Program. The objective is to strengthen the skills of the NIPH statisticians to make NIPH a resource centre for monitoring progress towards UHC.
