Jordan's health ministry allows citizens to apply for government health insurance online
The Ministry of Health insurance covers 41.7 percent of Jordanians and a quarter of non-Jordanians. To increase health protection for its citizens, the Ministry of Health in Jordan had called on citizens who are not covered by any health insurance to apply at any of the ministry’s health directorates across the kingdom.
The overwhelming response has now led the ministry to create an online portal to facilitate the procedure. Applicants may avail both the offline and online services that are now running parallelly.
