Following last year’s participation in the P4H Leadership for UHC (L4UHC) program in Africa, the Zambian Ministry of Health – together with the L4UHC faculty – organized a High Level Policy Dialogue from 17-19 Feb 2016, in Chisamba,
to create a high-level and multi-sectorial coalition for UHC with a strong focus on the development of the new Health Financing Strategy and to move the Social Health Insurance agenda forward.

Objectives of the leadership event:
Participants
- Generate a deep and common understanding of the challenges of the UHC reform processes in Zambia
- Engage in high level dialogues and build consensus on the required efforts to transform policies to effective actions
- Develop stronger commitment and design collective interventions to address identified challenges
