The government of Malawi, in a public statement, said that it contributes to the procurement and dissemination of COVID-19 vaccines in the country. During the routine weekly briefing, the Director of Communications, Sean Kampondeni said that even though development partners give vaccines free of cost, the government pays for their transportation to Malawi.
For each dose, the government pays US$5. This means that if we get a million doses; we will have to pay US$5,000,000 for them
