The Mandatory Health Insurance Fund has announced a revision of the “List of Preferential Drugs” available for reimbursement to insured citizens under the Additional Mandatory Health Insurance Program. This update aims to reduce the financial burden on citizens in need of treatment and to enhance access to essential medications.
To facilitate this expansion, the Fund is inviting proposals from interested organizations for the inclusion of new drugs in the list. The Fund has increased its budget to allow for the addition of more drugs at the outpatient level and is open to reviewing all relevant applications.
Currently, the program covers approximately 500 drug names under the “Reference Book of Drugs Subject to Reimbursement under the Additional Mandatory Health Insurance Program and the State Guarantees Program,” allowing insured citizens to purchase these medications at a discounted price.
