In efforts to better finance human resources, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic increased doctors’ salaries starting April 1, 2022.
The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic explained how the salaries of doctors have increased since April 1.
Official salaries of employees of healthcare organizations have been increased by up to 50 percent, while all allowances and additional bonus payments have been retained. Payments under new rates started on April 25, 2022.
Now the seniority bonus rate for years of work experience for doctors and nurses is as follows:
- from 5 to 10 years – 10 percent;
- from 10 to 15 years – 20 percent;
- over 15 years – 30 percent.
Allowance for professional qualification category is retained and is set depending on the official salary in the following amounts:
- the highest qualification category – 50 percent;
- I qualification category – 30 percent;
- II qualification category – 10 percent.
An example from the Ministry of Healthcare:
- A doctor working in a rural hospital with six years of work experience and without a category received 9,001 soms (about USD 120). Now he will receive 13,518 soms (about USD 170) without taking into account the coefficient of labor participation.
- A doctor with 17 years of work experience and the highest qualification category, received 14,252 soms (about USD 180). From now on he will get 21,403 soms (about USD 270) without taking into account the coefficient of labor participation.
- A young family doctor of a city polyclinic, who has no experience and no category received 10,000 soms (about USD 130) before the change, and wil be getting 15,136 soms from now on (about USD 190).
- A family doctor in rural area with the highest category and 16 years of work experience received 19,000 soms before (about USD 240). After the salary adjustment he will be paid 28,758 (about USD 360) without taking into account the labor participation rate.
