P4H network partner GIZ convenes a kick-off meeting for all the P4H in-country organizations, including the ILO, SDC and WHO, who informally agree to collaborate in supporting universal health coverage and social health protection activities, and to actively exchange information on their respective areas of work. As a first step, the group agrees to introduce the P4H Initiative to the Ministry of Health (MoH), supported by a letter from the WHO Representative, on behalf of the P4H partners. In response the MoH requests support in the implementation of the new Community-based Health Insurance Policy and in the development of a health financing strategic plan.
