Health Financing Strategy Workplan
MOH presented a proposal (attached) to develop and implement a health financing strategy by the end of June 2013. The premise was that MOH wanted a strategy in place by the next planning cycle, which starts in mid-May. The meeting was also informed that a donor had already transferred some money (this was done a day before the meeting) into a MOH account to start the process. The MOH further reported that UNZA will be the lead consultant while other partners could also provide technical and financial support.
Resolutions
· The process of developing the health financing strategy to commence in April 2013 but the June 2013 target will be adjusted forward slightly
· MOH will write to partners to provide technical support but UNZA will be the lead consultant.
