The first monthly meeting of TFP/health technicians in Chad was held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in N’Djaména (see agenda items in the attached document. During the meeting, the P4H Focal Point reported on four studies currently being carried out for the CSU’s Interministerial Coordination Unit. These are (i) the study on the definition of the nomenclature of healthcare benefits to be covered by CSU schemes (ii) a study to define the methodology for targeting the poor (iii) a feasibility study on setting up a trust fund to support the medical assistance scheme for the needy (iv) the organizational and functional study of the AMED plan. These studies are part of the priority actions to be implemented by CIC-CSU to kick-start the health assistance scheme (AMED) for the economically disadvantaged.
