Namibia receives 100,620 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

As part of efforts to increase coverage of COVID-19 vaccination in Namibia, the Government received a donation of 100,620 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The donation is part of a collaboration between the U.S. government, the African Union, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), and COVAX.  The doses arrived in Windhoek on September 25. Namibia has a target of reaching 1,5 million people to be vaccinated by March 2022. As of 26th September 2021, 258 817 people had received their first doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, 166 402 had received their second dose, while 174 263 people are completely vaccinated.
