Thailand‘s National Health Security Office (NHSO) facilitated a knowledge exchange session with the Government of India during 29th to 31st, January 2024, as reported by the NHSO. The session involved participation from eight delegates representing the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, Republic of India.
The three-day workshop, centered on Thailand’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) system, covered four key areas:
- Managing the Universal Coverage Scheme (UCS) budget
- Safeguarding consumer rights within the UCS
- Facilitating participatory public policy process
- Implementing Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG)
The NHSO adds, “This three-day workshop exemplified the NHSO’s commitment to fostering international collaboration in healthcare, emphasizing the enhancement of UHC systems through shared knowledge and global experiences”.
