The National Health Security Office has increased hospital reimbursement rates for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), aiming to increase access to treatment among people with acute kidney injury.
Following this payment policy, hospitals providing CRRT to patients with acute kidney failure and in a critical stage will receive 15,000 baht for the first day of treatment and 10,000 baht per day in the following days, starting from March 1. The new payment rate is expected to motivate hospitals to provide CRRT to patients which in turn could lead to better access to treatment.
