The New Zealand government has signed a purchase agreement with Pfizer for 4.7 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for delivery in 2022. These vaccines will be vaccinated to those who didn’t get the vaccination in 2021.
In addition, New Zealand is committed to support COVID-19 response to its Pacific neighbors, including vaccine supply.
New Zealand has received to a total of 10.88 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine in 2021. While another 4.7 million doses of vaccine will be delivered in 2022.
The vaccination target is to achieve at least 90% vaccination rates across all District Health Boards. To read more, please click.
