In Thailand, the National Health Security Office (NHSO) is responsible to pay out vaccine compensation to all Thai citizens who have adverse effects from COVID-19 vaccination regardless of their public health insurance scheme entitlements. So far, the NHSO has paid out 1 billion baht to 9,551 people who received undesirable effects after vaccination. The vaccine compensation ranged between 100,000 to 400,000 baht per person, depending on the severity of conditions.
