1. Background and objectives of the meeting
OpenIMIS is an open source software package developed to manage healthcare financing products, including those related to health insurance. OpenIMIS has been active since 2012 and has been implemented in several countries in Asia (Cambodia and Nepal) and Africa: (Cameroon, Gambia,Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Tanzania and Chad).
Initially developed in English, the French version is currently being finalized. Many modules have already been translated into French.
Every year, a meeting of users and interested parties is organized to discuss the practical use of openIMIS. The next meeting, for the first time, will include a session in French. The aim is to share experience and set up a permanent exchange framework between French-speaking users of the software.
2. Meeting agenda
The meeting will take place on March 17, 2021 from 2:45 pm to 3:30 pm (CET). It will be structured as follows:

– Provide updates and knowledge sharing on the latest developments in various aspects of openIMIS.
– Learn together and benefit from the experience of other geeks.
– Gather, analyze and act on feedback and input from various work teams based on application usage.
– Develop joint strategies and harmonized business plans (e.g. openIMIS 5th anniversary campaign).
– Create a space to showcase contributions and demonstrate the impact on the work of community participants.
– Enable coordination between participants for smooth collaboration.
– Facilitate coordination and collaboration between members of the Open Imis community of practice

3. How to participate
Entries must be received by invitation no later than Monday, March 15 at 2:00 pm (GMT+1) and must be confirmed no later than Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 12:00 pm (GMT+1).
