The Chadian Ministry of Public Health, in collaboration with the Cellule Interministérielle de Coordination de la Couverture Santé Universelle (CSU) in Chad, and in partnership with the P4H network, Swiss Cooperation and GIZ, organized an information and training workshop from February 11 to 15, 2020 in N’Djamena (Hôtel Radisson-Blu), on the theme “The CSU Health Insurance Scheme: how to operationalize it?”. Some sixty participants, including executives from the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Social Action, the Ministry of Finance and Budget, and the Ministry of Economy and Development Planning, took part in the workshop. They were joined by representatives of partners such as WHO, Swiss Cooperation, AFD, GIZ and UNFPA, as well as members of parliament. The aim of the workshop, which was part of a capacity-building program for players involved in the gradual implementation of the CSU, who will also be responsible for assessing the institutional and technical constraints, was to equip national players to ensure the successful launch of the Health Insurance Scheme (DAS).
