Between 25-27 July, an orientation workshop was organized to introduce health sector stakeholders to the Alignment Framework. The Framework comprises two linked processes. The first is a diagnostic exercise that assesses a country’s status against the Domains of One Plan, One Budget, and One Report. The second involves the application of a Maturity Model – a five-level system that grades countries along a spectrum and facilitates the development of action plans to improve alignment.
Ethiopia is one of the pilot countries for the Alignment Framework. As a next step, the country will finalize the diagnostic exercise with contributions from key stakeholders, and then develop an action plan for improving effectiveness and efficiency by aligning donor resources and technical support.
