Maldives provides the first dose of COVID vaccine to 20,239 children or over 50 percent of those whose age between 12 and 17. They were administered the Pfizer vaccine. The program has received widely support from both in the Male’ area and atolls.
Meanwhile, the national vaccination program plans to reach 90 percent of the eligible population in the country by the end of August. Currently, 80 percent of the eligible population have received the first dose, while 69 percent received the second dose. To read more, click here.
