P4H CFP Engagement with Partners and Ministry to promote joint ownership

The P4H Country Focal Person (CFP) made a presentation at the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Committee meeting with the objective of taking the initiative further and promoting joint ownership towards the budget dialogue. The presentation focused on ACT-A initiative, what had been done in other countries, potential areas that the countries could benefit. Discussion also focused on COVID-19 being at the center but also thinking about COVID as something that is going to be here for a long time and therefore using it as an entry point to build sustainable systems. The response was very positive and the committee agreed that a small task team be formed and meet to think through how this could be taken forward i.e. possible areas of interest in light of ongoing initiatives such as the work through Abt Associates https://www.abtassociates.com/where-we-work/sub-saharan-africa/namibia, the Health Sector Review, previous analyses and ongoing COVID-19 dynamics and come up with the potential priorities for Namibia.
