Message from Help’s representative in Burkina Faso :
Hello everyone,
Help has been working in Burkina Faso for 10 years in 2018. Our presence in Burkina Faso is closely linked to the steps we have taken towards universal health coverage, having worked on pilot projects for free health care and projects to support the operationalization of AMU (with the support of ECHO, UNICEF and DEVCO), as well as on advocacy for the generalization of free health care (in a joint effort with most of you) and for the inclusion of exemption from payment for children under 5 and pregnant and breast-feeding women in the universal health insurance scheme (in cooperation with many of you).
To mark this 10th anniversary, we are organizing a panel discussion on “Universal health coverage in Burkina Faso – issues and challenges”.
Given the particular interest that your respective organizations have in the issue of access to healthcare in Burkina Faso, especially for the vulnerable, we are particularly keen to include you among the participants. So, before sending out the official invitations and more detailed information, I’m sending you this advance notice in the hope that you’ll be able to clear your diaries and come and chat with us and the panelists.
The panel will take place on November 28, starting at 9 a.m. in the DG Coop meeting room (south side of the Independence Hotel).
