In the presence of the presidents of Bolivia and Brazil, a protocol of intent was signed to establish reciprocal access to free health services between the two countries.
The ministers of health of Bolivia and Brazil signed the protocol of intent that will allow reciprocal access to health services free of charge to the citizens of both countries. They agreed to form binational work teams with the objective of guaranteeing access to health care in order to attend to emergencies, communicable and chronic diseases. It is also intended to promote scientific and technological transfer.
The Bolivian Minister of Health and Sports stated that this agreement marks a milestone in bilateral cooperation and promises important benefits for Bolivians living in Brazil and Brazilians residing in Bolivia.
