A high-level delegation from The Jordanian Social Security Corporation (SSC) visited Turkey to learn from the experience of the Turkish Social Security Institution (SGK) between the 20th and the 24th of June.
The five-day study visit offered insights on the social security experience in Turkey and best practices on the extension of coverage to informal workers, including refugees and migrant workers and workers in the agriculture sector. It will support the SSC efforts in extending coverage to all workers and drafting the new health insurance bylaw.
SGK shared the different programs and modalities of their universal social health insurance system for national and non-national citizens, particularly the features relevant for vulnerable workers.
The program concluded with SSC and SGK discussing future collaboration and partnership.
