Senegal: CMU and reduced expenses for HIV patients

In the current context of declining international funding for HIV, the development of UHCs is seen by UNAIDS as a way of improving the quality of life of people living with HIV. opportunity to finance access to HIV care. As no strategy has been defined at international level for integrating these expenses into CSU systems, each country makes its own decisions based on the organization of its healthcare system.

In the countries that have embarked on the implementation of the CSU, what strategies are effective ? Do they improve access to care for PLWHA ? A study has been carried out in Senegal to analyze the impact of Universal Health Coverage on healthcare spending by people living with HIV.
