The main aim of the contingency plan of the Ministry of Health and Social Action is to strengthen Senegal’s capacity to deal with the epidemic through the following measures:
– Detecting suspected and confirmed cases
– Rapid isolation of said cases
– Strengthening infection prevention and control in health facilities and the community
– Intensifying risk communication about the infection and involving populations in response measures
– Coordination of responses to the epidemic
Overall, a budget of 64.4 billion FCFA (107,581,916.00 USD) was allocated to the health sector.
