Oromia State Health Bureau recently shared experiences and lessons learned from the “One plan – One budget – One report” initiative with a delegation from the Central African Republic.
The initiative was introduced to guide the harmonization and alignment of efforts in the health sector in support of results-oriented national plans and strategies.
One plan: A health sector-wide strategic plan is developed through consultations between the Ministry of Health and the health development partners.
One budget: Financial resources from different sources (donors, government, NGOs) are incorporated into ‘one budget’ for the implementation of the strategic plan.
One report: An integrated supervision, performance review, quality assurance and inspection mechanism is developed to complement health sector M&E.
