Sierra Leone got another consignment of 96,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine last week through COVAX scheme. Earlier this year, Sierra Leone’s ministry of health received 260,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from china and western donor countries through the COVAX scheme. The earlier consignment targeted essential workers including health workers and their families who at the time were willing to take the jab.
