The Minister of Health and Social Development presented a report on a draft decree instituting the Unified Social Register which the Council of Ministers in its meeting of April 20, 2022 adopted.
Data on the various vulnerable strata recorded on several registers were compiled at different levels to form the national file of vulnerable groups.
For better coordination and efficient management of social projects and programs, the first national conference on social protection recommended extending the initial system designed to consolidate data on social safety net beneficiaries to beneficiaries of contributory schemes.
The Unified Social Register is an information and data management system for poor or vulnerable households potentially eligible for various social protection or poverty reduction programs.
The draft decree institutes the Unified Social Register to enable partners to work together to protect vulnerable people.
