The Nation reported that Thailand has introduced a health insurance coverage scheme for tourists in case of accidents subsidized by the government, starting from January 2024.

The newly introduced program ensures that foreign tourists receive medical coverage for accidents, organ loss, disability, or death. This initiative will improve financial protection and facilitate access to medical care in the event of accidents for foreign tourists visiting Thailand.
