“In the future, all medical services should be covered by the mandatory health insurance,” said Chairman of the Parliamentary Health Committee Ahliman Amiraslanov during the discussion of the proposed amendments to the law on “Medical Insurance” at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis (the Parliament).
The MP said that the financial burden of oncological diseases is very high: “Therefore, it can not be covered by compulsory health insurance yet. However, I am sure that next year oncological diseases will be covered by compulsory health insurance. This issue is already being discussed with the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, and the TABIB (the union of public health care provider organizations which belongs to the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance) and there is an agreement.
