In Togo, the government is taking a decisive step towards making universal health insurance a reality. After several reviews, the draft bill instituting the measure was adopted by the Council of Ministers on Thursday September 09.
This draft bill sets out the legal framework required to implement the project, the foundations of which were laid a few months ago.
In addition, ahead of the text due to be examined by Parliament in the coming months, the project obtainedfinancial support from the World Bank in March for $70 million (38.5 billion FCFA).
