To achieve the goal of zero cases of HIV/AIDS by 2030 and to work towards good universal health coverage, the Ivorian Minister in charge of Health, mobilized kings and traditional chiefs on Thursday April 04, 2024, during a meeting in the Ivorian capital.
The Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre N’gou Dimba, justifies this meeting by the need for a participative and inclusive approach by all the nation’s driving forces in the fight against AIDS and the promotion of Universal Health Coverage (CMU).
“We need to walk the last few kilometers to 2030 together”, said Minister Pierre Dimba, before inviting the traditional authorities to relay information to the population as part of the national response to HIV/AIDS and the implementation of CMU.
Côte d’Ivoire has undertaken a number of initiatives in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The meeting was intended to mobilize and raise awareness among traditional chiefs for their involvement in the national response to the pandemic, as well as for the implementation of Universal Health Coverage.
