Ukraine updated regulation on payments to health care workers caring for COVID-19 patients

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of August 11, 2021 No. 836, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine updated regulations on payments to health care workers treating COVID-19 patients.

The Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine carries out insurance payments for those health care workers, who became disabled due to sharp respiratory disease of COVID-19 /SARS-CoV-2/, provided that such a disease is connected with execution of professional obligations by the person, including to the families of a health care workers who died.

In general, the updated regulation expands the social protection benefits to health care workers who suffered from ill health due to care for COVID-19 patients and clarifies the procedures for executing such payments.
