The Vietnam Ministry of Health is currently seeking inputs from relevant agencies regarding the proposed amendment of the Health Insurance Law to increase health insurance contributions.
According to the Ministry, the existing health insurance contributions do not adequately align with the level of benefits and population coverage. However, due to limitations within the current Health Insurance Law, adjustments of maximum contribution rates are not permitted. Thus, it is imperative to amend the law to incrementally raise health insurance contributions.
