As part of the discussions on the alignment of development partners and the sharing of experiences from countries supported by the P4H Network, the Burundi and Niger PSCs noted the similarities in the modus operandi of bilateral partners, who contribute either through budget support, projects or NGO funding for the implementation of projects in the countries.
Burundi after the last socio-political crisis of 2015, is experiencing a resumption of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with a new commitment from partners to support government policies.
The coordination and consultation framework for health financing partners is an opportunity to capitalize on, to help align current and future support with government priorities, as well as with future reforms to the health financing system, in order to move towards more universal health coverage for all Burundians.
