From December 08 to 09, 2020, was held in the Maurice Yaméogo meeting room of Excellence Hôtel in Koudougou, a workshop to reflect on the motivations for joining social mutuals in Burkina Faso. This workshop, co-organized by the Direction Générale de la Protection Sociale (DGPS/MTPS), the NGO ASMADE and the Concertation des acteurs de la mutualité sociale du Burkina Faso (CAMUS-BF), enabled the various players involved in the drive for universal health coverage to propose mechanisms to facilitate access for all Burkinabè to quality healthcare through well-coordinated systems. To this end, the workshop’s recommendations will be passed on to decision-makers with a view to better coordinating the various existing systems and boosting membership of social mutuals.
