The government contributed 22.53%1<\/a><\/sup> to the current health expenditure (CHE) through taxes while donors contributed 42.46%1<\/a><\/sup> in 2021. Voluntary health insurance accounted for 3.11%1<\/a><\/sup> of CHE. Over the past decade, significant strides have been made towards the implementation of the mandatory national health insurance (NHI), with the passage of a related bill in parliament in 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n
