The state, through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gub.uy\/ministerio-salud-publica\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Public Health<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MPH) of Uruguay and other decentralized bodies, is responsible for managing these resources. Health financing in Uruguay is based on the National Health Fund, which operates under the principle of solidarity and is financed by mandatory contributions from both employees and employers. Promoting equity in access to healthcare services is crucial for ensuring that all Uruguayans benefit from the health system.
