In this peer reviewed article, the authors analyse the health financing structure of Botswana in relation to the health financing sub-function framework with a particular focus on the strengths and weaknesses of the country\u2019s health financing \u00a0arrangements. The evidence shows that Botswana is committed to health financing through huge public spending on health while also increasing private sector contributions. However, the existing health financing model still faces a lot of challenges.
