This influences the country\u2019s progress towards universal health coverage (UHC). This study documents these reforms from formulation to implementation and explores the challenges which remain for sustainable UHC.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve UHC, the government of Iran needs to devise and follow policies to control health care expenditures.
