This Strategic Plan was developed under the oversight of a Social Protection Working Committee (SPWC) that was formed at the direction of the Office of the President of Myanmar (Order No. 57\/ 2014) and that is chaired by the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. The Plan complements and strengthens Myanmar\u2019s overall reform programme, as outlined in the Framework for Economic and Social Reforms (FESR) and further reflected in the National Comprehensive Development Vision and National Comprehensive Development Plan. This Strategic Plan is aligned with Myanmar\u2019s rural development, health, and education strategies, which aim towards inclusive approaches to poverty alleviation and enhanced opportunities and is also fully consistent with Myanmar\u2019s regional and global commitments.<\/p>\n
