EDSN-MICS IV, initiated by the Government of Niger, is part of the global MEASURE DHS program, which aims to collect, analyze and disseminate population and family health data, evaluate the impact of implemented programs and plan new strategies for improving the health and well-being of the population. The survey was financed by the Government of Niger, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Bank through the Projet D\u00e9mographique Multisectoriel (PRODEM), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), KFW through the Coordination Intersectorielle de Lutte contre le VIH\/SIDA and the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition, ICF International provided technical assistance under a service contract with INS.
